Dell XPS Makes Comeback at CES 2026: New Laptops, Gaming Powerhouses, and World's First 52-Inch 6K Monitor Revealed

Dell Technologies just dropped some serious heat at CES 2026, and it looks like they're getting back to what made them a household name in the first place. The tech giant announced a complete overhaul of their iconic XPS laptop line, a massive expansion of their Alienware gaming brand, and two absolutely wild new monitors that are pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

The XPS Is Back, Baby

After what feels like forever, Dell's premium XPS laptops are getting a full makeover. The new XPS 14 and XPS 16 are here, and they're thinner and lighter than anything Dell's ever made—we're talking just 14.6mm thick. That's impressively slim for machines packing this much power.

The XPS 14 weighs in at about three pounds (more than half a pound lighter than before), while the XPS 16 hits 3.6 pounds—nearly a full pound lighter than its predecessor. Both feature sleek CNC-machined aluminum bodies, Intel's latest Core Ultra Series 3 processors with Arc graphics, and optional tandem OLED displays that should look absolutely gorgeous.

Battery life? Dell's claiming up to 27 hours of Netflix streaming, or over 40 hours with local video playback. Those are some bold numbers that we're definitely going to want to verify when we get our hands on review units.

For the first time, the iconic XPS logo actually appears on the laptop cover—a small touch that signals Dell's renewed commitment to the brand. Jeff Clarke, Dell's vice chairman and COO, didn't mince words: "We're getting back to our roots with a renewed focus on consumer and gaming."

Here's the kicker: later this year, Dell's bringing back the XPS 13 as their most affordable XPS ever. It's supposed to be even thinner and lighter than these new models, making premium Dell laptops accessible to way more people.

Alienware Goes Big (and Small)

Dell's gaming brand isn't sitting still either. Alienware is literally doubling its laptop lineup to reach more gamers across different budgets and needs.

Coming later this year: an ultra-slim gaming laptop around 17mm thin that promises high performance without the bulk, plus a new entry-level option that'll bring Alienware to budget-conscious gamers. It's about time—Alienware has always been synonymous with premium pricing, so a more accessible option should shake things up.

The immediately available goodies include the Alienware 16 Area-51 and 16X Aurora laptops, both featuring anti-glare OLED displays. If you've ever tried gaming on an OLED laptop in a bright room, you know why this is a game-changer. You get those deep blacks and vibrant colors without the annoying reflections.

These new laptops pack Intel's Core Ultra 200HX processors, while the Alienware Area-51 Desktop gets AMD's new Ryzen 9850X3D processor with 3D V-Cache technology—basically a beast for serious gaming performance.

Monitors That'll Make Your Jaw Drop

Dell's UltraSharp line is introducing two monitors that sound almost too good to be true.

First up: the world's first 52-inch 6K monitor. Yes, you read that right. The UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor is designed for financial traders, data scientists, and anyone who needs massive screen real estate without dealing with multiple monitors. It's also the first monitor to achieve TÜV Rheinland's highest tier of Low Blue Light certification, so your eyes might actually thank you. The price? A cool RM10,459 (roughly $2,350 USD).

The second is the UltraSharp 32 4K QD-OLED Monitor, which won a CES 2026 Innovation Award. It's the world's first commercial DisplayHDR True Black 500 QD-OLED monitor with anti-glare technology, bringing that sweet OLED quality to creative professionals who need perfect color accuracy regardless of lighting conditions.

When Can You Get Them?

The XPS 14 and XPS 16 hit shelves at the end of January 2026, though pricing is still "to be confirmed." The Alienware lineup launches in Q1 2026, and the big 52-inch UltraSharp monitor is already available on dell.com.my.

Dell's clearly making a statement: they're back in the consumer and gaming space in a big way, and they're not playing it safe.
