Samsung's Galaxy Buds4 Series Just Dropped – Here's Why Audiophiles Are Paying Attention

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Feb. 25, 2026 –
Samsung just unveiled their latest wireless earbuds lineup, and if you're in the market for premium audio gear, the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4 might be worth a serious look. The Korean tech giant made the announcement yesterday in San Francisco, promising what they're calling their "best listening experience" yet.

What's Actually New?

The headline feature? Samsung went bigger with the speakers – literally. The Buds4 Pro features what they're calling a "wider woofer" that increases the effective speaker area by nearly 20% compared to last generation. That's not just marketing speak either; the company ran over 10,000 simulations and analyzed hundreds of millions of ear data points to nail the design.

According to Ikhyun Cho, Corporate VP at Samsung's Mobile Enhancement R&D Team, the philosophy was simple: "uncompromising" comfort without sacrificing audio performance. The new earbuds support 24-bit/96kHz audio, which basically means you're getting studio-quality sound that stays true to the original recording – whether that's the resonance of violins or the deep pulses of a double bass.

Design That Actually Fits

Let's talk about the elephant in the room with most earbuds: they fall out. Samsung's tackling this head-on with their new "blade design" – sleeker, smaller earbud heads (on the Buds4 at least) that promise all-day comfort. They've added a premium metal finish with an engraved pinch control area, so you're not fumbling around trying to find the touch controls.

The charging case got an upgrade too. It's now a transparent clamshell design that's more intuitive to use. Color options include White and Black with a matte finish for both models, plus an online-exclusive Pink Gold for the Buds4 Pro.

Smart Features That Actually Matter

Enhanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is here, and Samsung claims it can handle everything from subway rumble to office chatter. The real party trick is the Enhanced Adaptive EQ that analyzes your unique ear shape and adjusts sound in real-time. It's personalized audio that goes beyond just "bass boost" or "treble enhance."

Got a noisy call environment? The Super Clear Call feature uses machine learning to reduce background noise – whether you're at a baseball game or a busy restaurant. Samsung says it doubles the bandwidth of regular Bluetooth calls.

For Galaxy ecosystem users, things get even better. You can trigger AI assistants (Bixby, Google Gemini, or Perplexity) hands-free. The Buds4 Pro even includes "Head Gesture" controls – nod or shake your head to manage calls without touching anything.

The Bottom Line

Pre-orders start February 26, 2026, with general availability on March 11. In Malaysia, the Galaxy Buds4 Pro will retail at RM 999, while the standard Buds4 comes in at RM 699. There's a launch promotion offering 10% off when bundled with select Galaxy S and Z series phones, plus an additional 10% discount for Samsung Members through the app.

The Buds4 Pro rocks an IP57 water resistance rating (the standard Buds4 gets IP54), and battery life clocks in at up to 6 hours with ANC on for the Pro model, extending to 26 hours total with the charging case.

Samsung's clearly aiming to compete with Apple's AirPods Pro and Sony's premium offerings here. Whether these earbuds can deliver on the hype remains to be seen, but on paper at least, the specs look impressive. If you've been holding out for an upgrade, these might be worth checking out when they hit stores next month.
