As the excitement of the Paris 2024 Olympics reached its peak, members of Team Samsung Galaxy gathered on July 25 and August 3 at the Olympic Rendezvous @ Samsung in the heart of the Olympic Village. This lively spot, known as the Village Plaza, became a hub where athletes from around the world came together, united by both sport and cutting-edge tech.
Among the athletes were Jagger Eaton from the U.S. skateboarding scene, Se-young An from South Korea’s badminton team, and Yu-bin Shin, also from South Korea, representing table tennis. They were joined by a diverse group of competitors, including Denmark's badminton star Viktor Axelsen, Spain’s Carolina MarĂn, a giant in badminton, and Mexican diver Alejandra Orozco. The gathering also featured swimming sensation Barbora Seemanová from Czechia, Slovakia’s skateboarder Richard Tury, and Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo, alongside Finland’s Wilma Anna Helena Murto, who competes in athletics, and Italian skateboarder Alessandro Mazzara.

The Olympic Rendezvous @ Samsung wasn’t just about mingling; it showcased Samsung's latest tech, allowing athletes to capture unforgettable moments and share them with fans worldwide. The “Travel with Galaxy AI” program was a standout feature, making it easy for athletes to chat with each other and their global fanbase, regardless of language barriers. With Galaxy AI, they could also snap the perfect photo on their new Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition, editing out distractions and tweaking images to their heart’s content.
The athletes didn’t just bond over tech—they also got into the Olympic spirit by swapping Samsung Olympic Games pins, earned through fun missions and quizzes. Jagger Eaton summed up the vibe perfectly: “I had so much fun making memories with Team Samsung Galaxy members inside this space and using Galaxy AI features to communicate in new ways.”

For Yu-bin Shin, the experience was equally memorable. “Meeting my fellow Team Samsung Galaxy members and communicating without language barriers thanks to Galaxy AI was amazing,” she said. “I loved making memories with them during the Olympic Games in Paris.”
The atmosphere was electric as the athletes posed for selfies, tested their skills in mobile games on the Galaxy Z Fold6, and marveled at how Galaxy AI could transform their simple sketches into stunning artwork.
Samsung’s Olympic Rendezvous was more than just a meet-up spot—it was a place where tech met teamwork, creating connections that will last long after the closing ceremony.
